Name: Ashley Pike
Nickname: Piker
Year of Graduation: 2007
High School/Hometown: General Brown JR/SR High School, Watertown, NY
Favorite Position: Midfield
# of Years Playing Lacrosse: 18

Where were you born & where do you currently live?
I was born in Watertown, NY and now I live in Normandy Park, WA.

Favorite Pump Up Song?
Wake Me Up - Avicii

Favorite Movie?
Any of the Harry Potter movies!

Do you have any pets?
Two labs! Scarlet Brown and Winnie Cooper!

What are 3 words that you would use to describe yourself?
Energetic, competitive, compassionate.

What does being part of CSL meant to you?
Being part of CitySide for the last two months has been a great experience!  I quickly gained a great lacrosse family and have created some awesome friendships already.  I’m really looking forward to seeing the success of the CitySide girls lacrosse program!

If you could have dinner with any 3 individuals who would they be?
My Aunt Wendy and Aunt Connie—I was two young to know them and would have loved to see what my mom’s sisters role in my life would have been if they were still alive today.  I would also love to have dinner with Mia Hamm...always been a huge fan and she has been a constant insirpation in my life!

What is your favorite lacrosse memory?
Winning the first ever Big East Championship vs. Georgetown in the Dome my senior year.

What are your favorite inspirational quotes?
“It’s a great day to have a great day.” “Somewhere behind the athlete you’ve become and the hours of practice and the coaches who have pushed you is a little girls who feel in love with the game and never looked back...play for her.” — Mia Hamm

If you could only eat one food for the rest of your life, what would it be?
Before I moved to Seattle, I would have said Pizza because you can put ANYTHING on top of pizza—BUT, since moving to Seattle, I would have to say Ezelle’s Chicken.  Just sayin.

Favorite School subject?
Shop and Metal class.  I still have/use the water pump lamp I made in 7th grade.

What is your favorite place you’ve ever been?
The family trip we took to Alaska this summer—23 hours of daylight! Sign me up for all day activities—hell skiing, hell hiking, water skiing, fishing, hiking, etc...!

Who is one person you look up to and why?
I have always looked up to my parents because they do it all!  They’ve been there every step of the way for me and I have no idea how they juggled mine and my brothers crazy schedule...sometimes it seemed like they could be in two places at once.

Besides lacrosse, what other interests do you have?
I love to cook—I’m a total foodie.  I also love being outdoors, so really anything that comes with outside, I’M INTO IT!

If you were an animal, what would you be?
I would love to be a bird!  I want to fly...

Any hidden talents?
I am a 3rd degree brown belt in Kang Duk Kwon Karate.

What are your goals for lacrosse?
To see the women’s game stay true to its traditional roots and keep the finesse and the beauty of the game but continue to grow with the increasing athleticism and skill of the youth.
