Box Travel Teams - Winter 2018 |
January 8th through February 18th
|

Our mission is to facilitate a lacrosse opportunity for your boys to grow into young men both on and off the field. Through experiences in the athletic classroom, it is our sincere goal that every one of our players hones his lacrosse skills and becomes a better player while harnessing those experiences to grow as an individual.
At CitySideLax, our founding principle is P.I.C.A. (Preparation, Innovation, Connection and Accountability). By adhering to P.I.C.A., we are able to achieve our overarching purpose of “Perfecting F.U.N.” (Fundamentals, Understanding, and Next level) through everything we do. What this means is that we do not choose our family members based purely on skill or production on the field; instead we look at the overall person and how they can improve and positively represent the CSL community.
It is not a right to be a member of the CSL family, but rather an earned privilege. Creating a highly competitive, extremely skilled team is important to us. We select our team members based on how they embody P.I.C.A. in striving to Perfect F.U.N., in conjunction with their performance on the field.
At CitySideLax we value our coaching staff's robust box lacrosse background and teaching the game the right way. Our Box Travel Teams are designed for those players looking to take their overall game to the next level by competing in two of the best box lacrosse tournaments offered in the United States.
Our approach to box lacrosse is a bit different then most. By focusing on the core principles of box lacrosse such as 2-man game and offensive/defensive principles we develop box lacrosse players which will, in turn, develop great field players. This is not field lacrosse played with boards, this is box lacrosse as it is meant to be played. That said, box lacrosse is a great alternative training method for players to develop their game, helping players look at lacrosse from a different perspective. Box stick-skills and concepts are extremely valuable and transferable to the outdoor game.
Teams will be made up of 16-18 players, two of which will be goalies.
