Drew Snider

Founder, Coach

Drew is a 2x Team USA member who played 10 years on a professional level. During that time Snider was a 7x All-Star, 5x team captain, 4x champion, and finished 5th all-time in scoring for midfielders. Drew founded CitySideLax with Chris O'Dougherty in 2013.

Drew is a Seattle native hailing from Queen Anne hill who went to O'Dea High School. He played his youth lacrosse for the Queen Anne Warriors & Garfield High School. Snider graduated from the University of Maryland where he appeared in two ACC championships, as well as two NCAA Div. 1 championships; being named team captain his senior year. Drew is a 4x professional champion as well as a bronze & gold medalist with Team USA.

Will Snider

Marketing Director, Coach

Will Snider is a Seattle Native and graduate of the University of Maryland where he played midfield for the Terps.

Will Snider is a Seattle Native and recent graduate from the University of Maryland. Playing youth lacrosse for the Queen Anne Warriors Will continued his High school career at Nathan Hale High School where he was a two-sport athlete in Basketball and Lacrosse. During his time at Nathan Hale both his dad Kris and his brother Drew both coached him alongside CitySide coach John O'Neill. After graduating he attended the Salisbury school in Connecticut for a Post Grad Year playing both basketball and lacrosse. From there Will attended the University of Maryland where he was named a starter his Junior and Senior seasons. After graduating Will played professionally for the Denver Outlaws for 2 seasons.

Jason Montoya

Girls Travel Team Director

Jason is from Seattle and started playing lacrosse for Queen Anne and went on to play for Garfield High School. After high school Jason played 4 years at D1 Lafayette College in Easton, PA. For the past 9 years Jason has coached youth and high school lacrosse across the country.

Jason grew up in Seattle and started playing lacrosse for Queen Anne in 6th grade. Jason played for and attended Garfield High School, and was awarded HS All-American his senior year. In college Jason played 4 years at D1 Lafayette College in Easton, PA obtaining his degree in Mechanical Engineering. For the past 9 years Jason has coached high school and youth lacrosse across the country including California, Texas, Illinois, and Seattle. Locally Jason has coached for Liberty, Woodinville, and most recently he became the Head Coach and Boy's Program Director for Eastlake High School. Jason has played goalie his entire lacrosse career, and specialized in coaching defense and goalie. Jason started coaching for CitySide in 2017.

Hilary O'Dougherty

Coach

Hilary has 15 years coaching experience across the US including helping to start USC's program.

Hilary is from Rochester, NY where she attended Brighton High School where she played lacrosse and basketball. During her time there they won four sectional titles in lacrosse and a state championship her senior year. She then went on to play at Northwestern University. Hilary won four National Championships, finished with a record of 77-3, and tallied 299 points during her four years. She has coached at the collegiate level at Mount St. Mary's University and University of Southern California, has played for the US Team, and played in the first ever women's professional league. Today she is an assistant athletic director and the lacrosse coach at Seattle Academy.

Megan Lucchesi

Coach

Megan is Washington raised and attended the University of Tampa. She previously coached at Auburn Riverside High School and currently coaches for Seattle Academy of Arts and Sciences.

Megan was born in Seattle, WA, and grew up playing boy's lacrosse until 8th grade (as a face-off middie!) with her two brothers since they did not have girls' lax in her area. She played competitive soccer and lacrosse all through high school and was a duo-varsity athlete. She played for Seattle Starz, PSS and the Washington State All-Star team that attended the National School Girls' Lacrosse Tournament all throughout her high school career.

She attended The University of Tampa (2014-2017). Megan played midfield and attack.

Rachel Benzing

Rachel is from Ellicott City, Maryland, and specializes in attack and faceoffs. She attended the University of Maryland, Baltimore County (UMBC), and Lindenwood University where she was awarded UMBC Breakthrough Athlete of the Year and Lindenwood Offensive Player of the Year.

Eric is from Bellevue Washington

Eric Grew up and played for Bellevue High School where he was a four year starter and won 3 state championships. He went on to play collegiately at the University of Richmond where he played all four years.

Christian Mazzone

Coach

Christian is from Stony Brook, New York and currently plays professionally with the Archers Lacrosse Club of the PLL and the Vancouver Warriors of the NLL. He is also currently the Head Coach & Program Director at Eastside Catholic.

Christian attended Ward Melville HS where he played both soccer and lacrosse. He then attended Rutgers University where he graduated in 2018. He moved out to Seattle in 2019 and coached at Glacier Peak HS previously before transitioning to his current role at Eastside Catholic.

In HS,  Christian was a 3 year starter and All-Conference Soccer player in his Senior  year. He was also named a US lacrosse All-American and received All  Long-Island first team honors while helping lead his team to an undefeated  22-0 record that concluded with a New York State Championship and #1 National  Ranking from Inside Lacrosse. At Rutgers University, he was a 4-year starter  and named a Honorable Mention All-American, 2nd Team All-Big Ten, and Scholar  All-American in his Senior year.

Jonathan "Gooch" Higuchi

Jonathan, also known as Gooch, is from Seattle, WA, and specializes in goalie. He's played on numerous club lacrosse teams including The University of Washington's.

Kyle went to Eastside Catholic high school and played Lacrosse for the first Varsity program. He attended Concordia University in Irvine, CA and eventually ended up at Lake Washington Tech where he received a Aerospace Welding degree.

Anna Kelly

Coach

Anna is from Seattle and is a current first-year at Bowdoin College playing on the women's lacrosse team. She has played lacrosse since third grade and competed for Seattle Starz.

Anna is a Seattle native who recently graduated from Lakeside School as a member of the class of 2020. During her time at Lakeside, she was on the varsity cross country, swimming, and lacrosse teams. She was a starter for the Lions all four years and now plays on the varsity women's lacrosse team at Bowdoin College, which is part of the very competitive NESCAC division. Anna has coached at many CitySide summer camps and is very excited for her first summer on the staff.

David Funes

Coach

Seattle native, Cityside coach since 2014. Left handed offensive player who played at the University of Denver.

David grew up in north Seattle and played youth lacrosse for the North Seattle Lacrosse Club. He started his high school career at Nathan Hale in 2012. Playing for Coaches Drew and Kris Snider for the Raiders, David was apart of the 2013 State Championship team. In 2014 he was part of the inaugural team at Seattle Academy which also went on to win that year's state championship. After graduating David decided to head to the University of Denver, to study Mechanical Engineering, where he walked on to the varsity team. David has been a CitySide coach since 2014 when he began as a volunteer.

Carter Randall

Coach

Carter was born in Portland, Oregon but he was raised in and calls Sammamish, WA home. Carter's brother was a coach for CitySideLax way back in the early days so coaching and lacrosse runs in the family.

Carter has been playing lacrosse since he was in 2nd grade and has been playing goalie for 12 years now. Carter has been coached by some of the best to do it and it's all thanks to my High School coach which happened to be Chris O'Dougherty at Eastlake High School. Carter also played for CitySideLax for many years including one of the very first teams they ever had. With the help of CitySide, Carter was prepared to be a college lacrosse player and because of CitySideLax, he currently plays at a Division 3 school called Western New England University in Springfield Massachusetts. Carter is a sophomore Studying criminal justice and potentially even Law if everything goes as planned.

Evan Perry

Coach

Evan is Washington born and raised! He grew up in Lake Tapps, where he picked up and pursued lacrosse. He went on to play for CitySide lacrosse for 5 years, and that got him to Quinnipiac University.

Evan picked up lacrosse in third grade through the club of Lake Tapps. He tried out for the CitySideLax in 7th grade and made the team. He played for 5 years with CitySide. Evan attended Auburn Riverside High School where he played another 3 years as a midfielder. He is currently a Freshman at Quinnipiac University where he plays as an offensive midfielder.

Rachel grew up in Virginia and recently moved from Seattle after 8 years of living in New England. In high school, she played for James W. Robinson High School and Capitol Lacrosse club. She went on to play attack at Cornell University (D1) for 4 years graduating in 2014. Rachel has coached high school, youth, and club lacrosse.

Jackson Brown

Alex played goalie. He was born and raised in Seattle.

Kris Snider

Coach

Kris grew up playing lacrosse in New York and at the University of Virginia, and has been helping grow lacrosse in the Northwest as a coach, administrator and developer for the past 35 years.

Kris began playing lacrosse in New York in the 8th grade, eventually becoming a two-time County Player of the Year and HS All-American. As a four year starting attackman at the University of Virginia, he set the all-time scoring record and was selected as a 3X All-American. Since moving to Seattle in the early 1980's, Kris has been integral in establishing the Seattle Metro Youth Lacrosse Association, Washington HS Boys Lacrosse Association, Washington State Chapter of US Lacrosse as well as founding the QA Lacrosse Club and Elite 80 Lacrosse Camp, the longest running instructional camp in the Northwest. He has coached youth and high school players in Washington for over 30 years.

Joe Bethke

He was all-league and team captain in three sports (football, ice hockey, and lacrosse) at Strath Haven High School in Pennsylvania leading teams to league championships in both football and hockey before attended Swarthmore College (Philadelphia, PA) to play NCAA DIII lacrosse where he was a 4 year starter and team captain as a senior. Immediately after graduating in 2015, he joined the coaching staff and helped lead the team to two Centennial conference semifinal appearance and an ECAC Championship. Darrel has been an active member of the Spanish National Lacrosse team, playing in two world championships and one European championship, and is the current defensive coordinator at Nathan Hale High School.

Henry Johnson

Henry is a Seattle native who plays Midfield at the Division 3 school Stevens Institute of Technology located in New Jersey.

A Seattle native who played middle school lacrosse for North Seattle and high school lacrosse for Seattle academy. Won the 2017 1A/2A Washington Lacrosse championship with Seattle Academy. Also played club lacrosse for CitySide and is now playing College lacrosse for Stevens Institute of Technology.

Craig Snyder

Coach

Craig is from New Jersey and specializes in defense. He attended the United States Naval Academy where he played baseball for all 4 years. Craig has been a part of the CitySide family as a youth coach for over 8 years.

Craig coaches the 2026 Boys Blue team.

Kyle grew up in Highlands Ranch, Colorado and has been coaching lacrosse since 2015.

He went to Mountain Vista High School where he played both Lacrosse and Football. After graduating from Mountain Vista in 2015, he attended and played at Rutgers University. He played professionally in the MLL for 2 years with the Denver Outlaws, and is currently in PLL with the Atlas LC.

Ryan Sheldon

Ryan is a Tacoma native where he played hockey and lacrosse while attending Curtis Senior High School.

After graduating from Gonzaga University, Ryan has been involved in the Seattle coaching scene since 2014. He is motivated by continuing to help make an impact on the growth of lacrosse in the state of Washington.
