Drew Snider

Founder, Coach

Drew is a 2x Team USA member who currently plays for the Premier Lacrosse League's Waterdogs LC. On a professional level, Snider is a 7x All-Star, 5x team captain, and 4x champion. Drew founded CitySideLax with Chris O'Dougherty in 2013.

Drew is a Seattle native hailing from Queen Anne hill who went to O'Dea High School. He played his youth lacrosse for the Queen Anne Warriors & Garfield High School. Snider graduated from the University of Maryland where he appeared in two ACC championships, as well as two NCAA Div. 1 championships; being named team captain his senior year. Drew is a 4x professional champion as well as a bronze & gold medalist with Team USA. Drew has used the knowledge from his playing career to help coach around the world for the last 16 years.

Eli Gobrecht

Boys Travel Team director, Coach

Eli hails from the traditional lacrosse hotbed of upstate New York, where he started playing lacrosse at the age of 6. He splits his time between Seattle in the summer and San Diego in the winter.

Eli is a professional lacrosse player and an Ithaca College graduate. Eli grew up in Ithaca, NY and moved to Seattle in 2017 to pursue a career in coaching. He was a standout player at Ithaca College where he led the Bombers to two conference championships and an appearance in the NCAA Quarterfinals in his Senior year. During his rookie campaign in the MLL, Eli helped lead Denver to their third MLL Championship in the last five years. He currently plays for Archers LC in the PLL & the San Diego Seals in the NLL. Eli has been playing and coaching lacrosse for nearly 20 years.

Hilary O'Dougherty

Director, Events Coordinator, Coach

Hilary has 15 years coaching experience across the US including helping to start USC's program.

Hilary is from Rochester, NY where she attended Brighton High School where she played lacrosse and basketball. During her time there they won four sectional titles in lacrosse and a state championship her senior year. She then went on to play at Northwestern University. Hilary won four National Championships, finished with a record of 77-3, and tallied 299 points during her four years. She has coached at the collegiate level at Mount St. Mary's University and University of Southern California, has played for the US Team, and played in the first ever women's professional league. Today she is an assistant athletic director and the lacrosse coach at Seattle Academy.

Megan Lucchesi

Director, Coach

Megan is Washington raised and attended the University of Tampa. She previously coached at Auburn Riverside High School and currently coaches for Seattle Academy of Arts and Sciences.

Megan was born in Seattle, WA, and grew up playing boy's lacrosse until 8th grade (as a face-off middie!) with her two brothers since they did not have girls' lax in her area. She played competitive soccer and lacrosse all through high school and was a duo-varsity athlete. She played for Seattle Starz, PSS and the Washington State All-Star team that attended the National School Girls' Lacrosse Tournament all throughout her high school career.

She attended The University of Tampa (2014-2017). Megan played midfield and attack.

Allie Steinberg

Coach

Allie was born and raised in Seattle. She began playing lacrosse as a freshman at Garfield High School, where she became a captain her junior and senior year.

Allie attended UCLA where she played Division 1 Club lacrosse. After graduating in 2012, she returned to Seattle to coach. She coached the first girls' Seattle Wolfpack 5/6 and 7/8 team, and she also started a 5/6 team in Skyway focused on diversity, equity, and inclusion. Allie is very passionate about growing the sport of lacrosse and making it an inclusive and accessible sport to all girls. She has been coaching with CitySide since 2014. "

Will Snider

Marketing Director, Coach

Will Snider is a Seattle Native and graduate of the University of Maryland where he played midfield for the Terps.

Will Snider is a Seattle Native and recent graduate from the University of Maryland. Playing youth lacrosse for the Queen Anne Warriors Will continued his High school career at Nathan Hale High School where he was a two-sport athlete in Basketball and Lacrosse. During his time at Nathan Hale both his dad Kris and his brother Drew both coached him alongside CitySide coach John O'Neill. After graduating he attended the Salisbury school in Connecticut for a Post Grad Year playing both basketball and lacrosse. From there Will attended the University of Maryland where he was named a starter his Junior and Senior seasons. After graduating Will played professionally for the Denver Outlaws for 2 seasons.

Jason Montoya

Assistant Program Director, Coach

Jason is from Seattle and started playing lacrosse for Queen Anne and went on to play for Garfield High School. After high school Jason played 4 years at D1 Lafayette College in Easton, PA. For the past 9 years Jason has coached youth and high school lacrosse across the country.

Jason grew up in Seattle and started playing lacrosse for Queen Anne in 6th grade. Jason played for and attended Garfield High School, and was awarded HS All-American his senior year. In college Jason played 4 years at D1 Lafayette College in Easton, PA obtaining his degree in Mechanical Engineering. For the past 9 years Jason has coached high school and youth lacrosse across the country including California, Texas, Illinois, and Seattle. Locally Jason has coached for Liberty, Woodinville, and most recently he became the Head Coach and Boy's Program Director for Eastlake High School. Jason has played goalie his entire lacrosse career, and specialized in coaching defense and goalie. Jason started coaching for CitySide in 2017.

Christian Mazzone

Coach

Christian is from Stony Brook, New York and currently plays professionally with the Archers Lacrosse Club of the PLL and the Vancouver Warriors of the NLL. He is also currently the Head Coach & Program Director at Eastside Catholic.

Christian attended Ward Melville HS where he played both soccer and lacrosse. He then attended Rutgers University where he graduated in 2018. He moved out to Seattle in 2019 and coached at Glacier Peak HS previously before transitioning to his current role at Eastside Catholic.

In HS,  Christian was a 3 year starter and All-Conference Soccer player in his Senior  year. He was also named a US lacrosse All-American and received All  Long-Island first team honors while helping lead his team to an undefeated  22-0 record that concluded with a New York State Championship and #1 National  Ranking from Inside Lacrosse. At Rutgers University, he was a 4-year starter  and named a Honorable Mention All-American, 2nd Team All-Big Ten, and Scholar  All-American in his Senior year.

Jonathan "Gooch" Higuchi

Coach

Born and raised in the PNW, Jonathan was introduced to lacrosse as Jr. in High School. Jonathan enjoys Bboy'n (Breakdancing) and other visual and performing arts - Lacrosse is the one he has the most passion for.

Jonathan played his 1st season of lacrosse as a Jr. in High School and hasn't put the stick down since...even through injuries. After High School, Jonathan played club lacrosse with UW, CWU and WWU. He found a home in Seattle's local men's club league where he helped start a team that continues to play currently.

Kyle Decker

Coach

Native to the Seattle area. Grew up in Issaquah Washington playing Lacrosse, Basketball, and Kickboxing.

Kyle went to Eastside Catholic high school and played Lacrosse for the first Varsity program. He attended Concordia University in Irvine, CA and eventually ended up at Lake Washington Tech where he received a Aerospace Welding degree.

Anna Kelly

Coach

Anna is from Seattle and is a current first-year at Bowdoin College playing on the women's lacrosse team. She has played lacrosse since third grade and competed for Seattle Starz.

Anna is a Seattle native who recently graduated from Lakeside School as a member of the class of 2020. During her time at Lakeside, she was on the varsity cross country, swimming, and lacrosse teams. She was a starter for the Lions all four years and now plays on the varsity women's lacrosse team at Bowdoin College, which is part of the very competitive NESCAC division. Anna has coached at many CitySide summer camps and is very excited for her first summer on the staff.

David Funes

Coach

Seattle native, Cityside coach since 2014. Left handed offensive player who played at the University of Denver.

David grew up in north Seattle and played youth lacrosse for the North Seattle Lacrosse Club. He started his high school career at Nathan Hale in 2012. Playing for Coaches Drew and Kris Snider for the Raiders, David was apart of the 2013 State Championship team. In 2014 he was part of the inaugural team at Seattle Academy which also went on to win that year's state championship. After graduating David decided to head to the University of Denver, to study Mechanical Engineering, where he walked on to the varsity team. David has been a CitySide coach since 2014 when he began as a volunteer.

Cole grew up in Lake Tapps and played youth for Lake Tapps lacrosse.

Ben Luke

Coach

Ben is from North Bend, WA. He grew up fishing, hunting, hiking, and playing lacrosse with the Mount Si youth program. He attended O'Dea High School.

Ben graduated from O'Dea High School in 2019 where he played on the varsity lacrosse team for 3 years. He is currently in Chicago attending Elmhurst University studying business and playing D3 lacrosse. Ben will graduate from EU in 2023. Ben plays indoor lacrosse up in Canada when he can.

Carter Randall

Coach

Carter was born in Portland, Oregon but he was raised in and calls Sammamish, WA home. Carter's brother was a coach for CitySideLax way back in the early days so coaching and lacrosse runs in the family.

Carter has been playing lacrosse since he was in 2nd grade and has been playing goalie for 12 years now. Carter has been coached by some of the best to do it and it's all thanks to my High School coach which happened to be Chris O'Dougherty at Eastlake High School. Carter also played for CitySideLax for many years including one of the very first teams they ever had. With the help of CitySide, Carter was prepared to be a college lacrosse player and because of CitySideLax, he currently plays at a Division 3 school called Western New England University in Springfield Massachusetts. Carter is a sophomore Studying criminal justice and potentially even Law if everything goes as planned.

Meghan Fox

Coach

Megan was born and raised on the East Coast, originally from Arlington Virginia. She moved to Seattle in August 2020 and currently coaches lacrosse and volleyball at SAAS.

Caitlyn Hughes

Coach

Coach Cait is in her second season as Cityside's High School coach. She is passionate about expanding the game on the west coast, especially being an East coast native. She cares deeply about the development of her players both on and off the field. She strives to be a resource for college and career readiness, while fostering a deep love of the game.

Coach Cait is a New Jersey native, 4 Year Varsity Starter from Randolph High School, and a 2015 graduate of Stevens Institute of Technology. During her four year college career, she earned various Player of the Week conference nods, along with Second Team All Conference her senior season. She ended her competitive career by traveling with a collegiate team to England and Scotland, playing both national teams and various universities in the region. Following college, Cait moved to New York City, where she co-founded a tech start-up and became Head Coach of the Citystars Youth Lacrosse Program, and played for Gotham Lacrosse, a post-collegiate women's team. In 2019, Caitlyn moved to Seattle for her role with Amazon Web Services, where she currently advises startups on ways to scale their business.

Dylan is from Ravensdale, Washington.

He attended O'Dea High School where he played lacrosse all four years. Dylan attends the UW where he plays on the club lacrosse team. In the summers, Dylan plays indoor lacrosse in Canada.

Coach

Connor is a Seattle native that played lacrosse at a high level for 10 years.

Connor attended Orting High School (WA), creating the program in his sophomore year. Connor played for Cityside for 3 years, traveling with them and getting the opportunity to play for the Legends lacrosse program. Sadly, in his senior year, Connor got diagnosed with a blood disorder and could no longer continue to play. Fortunately he's been able to continue with the sport through coaching.

Kelsey Ruhl

Coach

Kelsey is a seattle-native, who started playing lacrosse in the 5th grade for doublecrosse.

Kelsey attended Roosevelt High School, where she participated and letter in lacrosse, swimming, soccer, and gymnastics. She graduated in 2015 and went on to play lacrosse for the University of Redlands in southern California. Kelsey was a 4-year starter and record holder at Redlands, where she played midfield and attack. Since graduating in 2019, she has coached for Cityside, Superstix, Roosevelt High School, and Seattle Wolfpack. Kelsey is excited to continue to help grow the game of lacrosse and work with such talented players and coaches at Cityside!

Evan Perry

Coach

Evan is Washington born and raised! He grew up in Lake Tapps, where he picked up and pursued lacrosse. He went on to play for CitySide lacrosse for 5 years, and that got him to Quinnipiac University.

Evan picked up lacrosse in third grade through the club of Lake Tapps. He tried out for the CitySideLax in 7th grade and made the team. He played for 5 years with CitySide. Evan attended Auburn Riverside High School where he played another 3 years as a midfielder. He is currently a Freshman at Quinnipiac University where he plays as an offensive midfielder.

Jackson Brown

Coach

Jackson is a Seattle native playing lacrosse at Stevens Institute of Technology as an offensive midfielder.

Jackson grew up playing youth lacrosse for Magnolia United and played high school lacrosse for Bishop Blanchet. During his high school career Jackson was a 2x All Metro Conference player and played club lacrosse for CitySide. Stevens is currently ranked #18 in DIII Lacrosse.

Alex Oximana

Coach

Alex played goalie. He was born and raised in Seattle.

Alex Started playing lacrosse with the Magnolia Lacrosse club. Alex played CitySideLax. He attended and played at Bishop Blanchet High School from 2016-2020. Alex now attends and plays lacrosse at Illinois Wesleyan University.

Kris Snider

Coach

Kris grew up playing lacrosse in New York and at the University of Virginia, and has been helping grow lacrosse in the Northwest as a coach, administrator and developer for the past 35 years.

Kris began playing lacrosse in New York in the 8th grade, eventually becoming a two-time County Player of the Year and HS All-American. As a four year starting attackman at the University of Virginia, he set the all-time scoring record and was selected as a 3X All-American. Since moving to Seattle in the early 1980's, Kris has been integral in establishing the Seattle Metro Youth Lacrosse Association, Washington HS Boys Lacrosse Association, Washington State Chapter of US Lacrosse as well as founding the QA Lacrosse Club and Elite 80 Lacrosse Camp, the longest running instructional camp in the Northwest. He has coached youth and high school players in Washington for over 30 years.

Cooper Woolston

Coach

Cooper is a Seattle native and was born and raised in Magnolia.

Cooper played his youth lacrosse for the Queen Anne Warriors. In high school, he attended University Prep but played at nearby Nathan Hale high school. As a senior, Cooper was named captain and helped lead the Raiders to their first ever Washington State championship. He went on to play NCAA Division III lacrosse at Swarthmore College located in Philadelphia, PA. After graduation, Cooper was hired as the Head Coach and Program Director of Nathan Hale High School.

While at  Swarthmore, Cooper was a 2 time Centennial Conference semifinalist and an  ECAC Mid-Atlantic Region champion. Cooper also played internationally with  the USA Starz Lacrosse program.

Joe Bethke

Coach

This will be Joe's 5th summer coaching with Cityside.

He grew up in Bellevue Washington and attended Bellevue high school where he played lacrosse as well as hockey. He will be graduating from Mount St. Mary's University in Emmitsburg, MD in May where he also played lacrosse.

Darrel Hunter

Coach

Darrel was born and raised in Pennsylvania and relocated to Seattle from Philadelphia in 2020.

He was all-league and team captain in three sports (football, ice hockey, and lacrosse) at Strath Haven High School in Pennsylvania leading teams to league championships in both football and hockey before attended Swarthmore College (Philadelphia, PA) to play NCAA DIII lacrosse where he was a 4 year starter and team captain as a senior. Immediately after graduating in 2015, he joined the coaching staff and helped lead the team to two Centennial conference semifinal appearance and an ECAC Championship. Darrel has been an active member of the Spanish National Lacrosse team, playing in two world championships and one European championship, and is the current defensive coordinator at Nathan Hale High School.

Henry is a Seattle native who plays Midfield at the Division 3 school Stevens Institute of Technology located in New Jersey.

A Seattle native who played middle school lacrosse for North Seattle and high school lacrosse for Seattle academy. Won the 2017 1A/2A Washington Lacrosse championship with Seattle Academy. Also played club lacrosse for CitySide and is now playing College lacrosse for Stevens Institute of Technology.

Craig is from New Jersey where he attended Bergan Catholic High School where he played football, basketball and baseball.

Craig attended the United States Naval Academy and played baseball for 4 years . His senior season Navy reached the college baseball playoffs.

Craig has been a  youth coach for over 8 years coaching in the Kamiak youth system 2012-2015

Kyle Pless

Kyle grew up in Highlands Ranch, Colorado and has been coaching lacrosse since 2015.

He went to Mountain Vista High School where he played both Lacrosse and Football. After graduating from Mountain Vista in 2015, he attended and played at Rutgers University. He played professionally in the MLL for 2 years with the Denver Outlaws, and is currently in PLL with the Atlas LC.

Lucinda Caldwell

Coach

Cinda is from Delaware, where she attended St. Andrew's School and was a quad-varsity athlete, running cross-country as one of the top runners in the state and started on the soccer, basketball, and lacrosse teams all four years.

She attended Brown University and graduated in 2015. Since moving to Seattle, she has coached at Lakeside, Queen Anne Quick Styx, and Roosevelt High School. She is currently Coaching Director at Queen Anne Quick Styx.

Ryan Sheldon

Ryan is a Tacoma native where he played hockey and lacrosse while attending Curtis Senior High School.

After graduating from Gonzaga University, Ryan has been involved in the Seattle coaching scene since 2014. He is motivated by continuing to help make an impact on the growth of lacrosse in the state of Washington.
