CitySideLax Summer Camps: Elite Coaching and F.U.N. in the Sun!

This summer, CitySideLax hosted two incredible lacrosse summer camps that drew nearly 350 talented players from across Washington state.

Young athletes from all over (Everett, Edmonds, Lynnwood, Bothell, Shoreline, Kirkland, Redmond, Bellevue, Renton, Kent, and Tacoma) converged to hone their skills and learn from some of the best in the game.

Our boys' camp was led by an all-star coaching lineup that included Zach Currier, Eli Gobrecht, Drew Snider, and Will Mark. These accomplished professional players and coaches brought unparalleled expertise to the field, elevating the experience for every participant.

• Drew Snider, a Seattle native and lacrosse mogul, shared his wealth of knowledge gained from his illustrious career as a professional player and PLL coach.
• Zach Currier, inspired offensive players with his sharing his perspectives gained from the NLL, PLL, and team Canada.
• Eli Gobrecht, known for his defensive prowess and coaching acumen, provided invaluable insights to aspiring defenders. Providing strategies he sees in both professional leagues.
• Will Mark, a standout goalie at Syracuse, offered specialized training for netminders, helping them refine their techniques.

The girls' camp was equally impressive, led by the dynamic mother-daughter duo of Tierney and Shaylan Ahearn. Shaylan, a decorated midfielder at the University of Maryland, brought her high-level collegiate experience to inspire and guide young female athletes. Her mother, Tierney, complemented the coaching staff with her wealth of lacrosse knowledge and nurturing approach.

The diverse range of skills and experiences our coaches brought to the camps created an unparalleled learning environment. Players were challenged to push their limits, develop new skills, and cultivate a deeper understanding of the game.

What set our camps apart was not just the caliber of coaching, but also the comprehensive approach to player development. Participants engaged in intense drills, scrimmages, and strategy sessions that mimicked real-game scenarios. This holistic training method ensured that every player left the camp with improved skills, heightened lacrosse IQ, and a renewed passion for the sport.
